Governor Ramen Deka Highlights Culture of Baiga and Birhor Communities

During his visit to Shivtarai in Kota block near Bilaspur, Governor Ramen Deka interacted with Baiga and Birhor tribal communities and emphasized the importance of preserving their rich traditions, languages, folk songs, and cultural heritage. He encouraged tribal youth involved in archery by announcing a grant of ₹5,000 for each player and invited them to visit Lok Bhavan in Raipur.
The governor also directed officials to arrange training for bamboo products and traditional jewelry making to support livelihoods. Development initiatives under the PM Janman Yojana are helping improve housing, healthcare, and infrastructure in tribal settlements.
